Upcoming project includes:

  • Filming in the U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C. June 8–10.

We're looking for someone interested in a long-term partnership, as there will be opportunities to film future projects with us in September, October, and November in Alaska, Nebraska, and New York.

This is a fast-paced, run-and-gun documentary production focused on real human stories in the healthcare space. Upcoming filming will take place on location across multiple U.S. cities with a small, collaborative crew. This role is ideal for a student, recent graduate, or early-career cinematographer looking to gain meaningful field experience while working alongside an experienced documentary team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate second camera during documentary filming

  • Capture vérité footage, interviews, and b-roll

  • Support camera setup and production workflow

  • Work efficiently in fast-moving, run-and-gun environments

  • Travel with a small documentary crew

Equipment

  • Primary production cameras: Sony FX3, Sony FX6

  • Applicants should be comfortable operating Sony cinema cameras or comparable professional video systems.

Requirements

  • Run-and-gun or documentary filming experience

  • Comfortable traveling domestically and internationally (if required)

  • Collaborative, adaptable team mindset

Preferred: Fluency in English; entry-level Spanish is a bonus (our production team is from Chile), documentary storytelling experience, interest in long-form nonfiction filmmaking

Paid opportunity

Compensation ranges from $100 to $4000, based on experience, scope of work, and equipment provided (yours or ours). Production travel expenses during shoots are covered.
