Republicans once again swept the ballot in Livonia this year. Our candidate for the town board, Jeanette Bourcy received 670 votes coming in 3rd behind the two republican candidates. As is usual during an off-year election, turnout was very low with no district in the town having a turnout higher that 31%. The low turnout is likely to have hurt us and future efforts will need to focus on increasing voter turnout.
