TOWN 8th GRADE SON/Parent CAMPING TRIP - $ ACTION REQUIRED - ASAP

OK - Motherload is finally ready for you to call and pay for the camping/ropes course/whitewater rafting trip we have planned May 13 - 15 weekend!

THEY NEED THIS DONE ASAP TO CONFIRM OUR NUMBERS - by APRIL 12th

They  can take credit card payments over the phone at 530-626-4187 (they are old school - no other options, I tried) - Gabby is our contact.  Please say you are with Town School trip and confirm if your son will be doing the ropes course or not.

1.Attached is the liability release form - print and turn in when you get there

2. A map of Mother Lode so you can see where the platform tents and general tent set up areas are situated. There is no charge to use the handful of platform tents (with cots inside)  if you prefer that to setting up your own tent. These platform tents are essentially first come first serve.

We are booked at Motherload River Center - about 2.5 hrs away  (if no traffic) in the Sierra foothills. https://www.malode.com/ 

In general, there is room for one parent and one son, there may be a few extra spots for another parent, but given the range of activities this isn't intended for siblings.

GENERAL SCHEDULE

  MAY 13th, FRIDAY - everyone arrives late afternoon/evening  - dinner on your own - bring campfire fixings 

 

SATURDAY:

BREAKFAST: 7:30AM - PROVIDED BY MOTHERLOAD

ROPES COURSE: 9:00AM - OPTIONAL ACTIVITY FOR THE BOYS  - You will have chance to sign up for the ropes course activity or choose to hang out around campground

RIVER TRIP: 12:30pm - Leave for whitewater rafting trip (Lunch provided on river)

Takeout: 4:30PM - ballpark takeout at end of raft trip

Arrive back at Mother Lode: between 5:15 and  5:45pm - shuttle takes everyone back to camp

Dinner: 7:30pm - PROVIDED BY MOTHERLOAD

SUNDAY:

Breakfast: Between 7:30am and 8:30am. PROVIDED BY MOTHERLOAD

Pack up - clean up and head home!

 

COST UPDATE:

The original quote for the trip in 2020 was $213.50 per person. In a post-Covid reality, the cost is now $285.20 per person - I'm getting the final cost with ropes course added.

       We have funds set up at Town with Flora that anyone can access to help defray the costs, please reach out to Flora directly.

       For those of you who already paid a deposit, we are getting those totals and you will be credited for the amount paid and only need to pay the difference.
