Town Crier is an audio-first driving companion for Android. As you drive, the app detects the town you're in and announces its name aloud along with a short, curated fact — hands-free, eyes on the road, screen off or on.
This group is the beta community for Town Crier. Members receive early builds through the Play Store closed testing track, share feedback on new features and bug fixes, and help shape the app before it reaches general release.
What testers do:

Install Town Crier through the closed testing opt-in link (Android only)
Use the app on real drives — the more drives, the more useful the feedback
Report anything unexpected: missing town facts, wrong announcements, playback issues, battery drain, anything that doesn't feel right
Share thoughts on new features as they roll out

What we provide:

Regular updates through the Play Store (typically every 1–2 weeks)
Direct response to bug reports and feature requests
Transparency about what's changing and why

Privacy: Town Crier uses your location while driving to detect towns and announce them. Location data is used only for these announcements and is never sold or shared. Anonymous usage analytics are opt-in and off by default. Full details in the in-app privacy policy at towncrierapp.com.

Two small things you may want to adjust before pasting:
The "typically every 1–2 weeks" cadence — soften or tighten depending on what you actually plan to ship. "Regularly" works if you want to stay non-committal.
If you'd rather not surface the email address publicly, drop the last line — the in-app "Report a Problem" flow covers it.
