Hi Sridhar and sorry for the delay in response, I have been out of the country helping with a playground and literacy related project in Belize and Honduras for the past few weeks.
As you will remember, based on the feedback from TRF for the grant proposal that had been authorized by all the District, including yours, we have had to re-write the grant application. This has now been completed and submitted for authorization by all Districts in Canada, Africa and India. Your District Governor and District Foundation Chair will have been informed by the TRF Grants Officer of the need for them to again access and authorize the on-line grant application. It has now been authorized by both the Canadian and Africa District representatives and now just needs authorization by your District Governor and Foundation Chair. They will also have been contacted by our Rotary Club primary contact, Cathy Jenkins, reminding them of the need for their authorizations. She may have already contacted you directly on this need, but is away right now and I am not sure if this has happened.
Can you please follow-up with your District governor and Foundation chair to encourage them or to help them to access and authorize the on-line grant application. As was done last time, if they are having troubles accessing the on-line application, it is our understanding that they can provide the TRF grant coordinator with a written statement authorizing the grant application rather than doing the on-line authorization.
The intent is to have the grant application approved in this Rotary year, so that funds that we all committed in this Rotary year (2013-14)to this project can be transferred to the Rwanda Club project account and then used for delivery of the project in 2014-15 starting in September or October, 2014 to March or April, 2015 (next Rotary year).
There have been no substantive changes to the grant application content from last time. The sooner the grant application is authorized, the sooner it will be formally reviewed by TRF and hopefully approved so that we can make the transfer of funds in this Rotary year and then to continue to make a difference to Rwanda.
Yours in Rotary,
