What Easwar has initiated is the first step of circulation of resumes. There has been a lot of effort by the Membership Chair over the last few months and it is just a coincidence that all of them are being shot out at the same time. The prospects need to complete their attendance of mandatory meetings ( 1 project, 1 weekly meeting and 1 fellowship) and the existing members also need to get comfortable and vice versa. The Board will then take note of the process adherance and approve accordingly.

If all the prospects concerned qualify to become members, care will be taken at that point by the Board to follow the Byelaws and if necessary, amendment meeting will be properly initiated and called for to discuss the subject.

Can i have a update from the Byelaws Committee on the action taken till date after formation of Committee in December please.

Extract from by laws of RCCT-

Section 7

Membership of the club should not increase by more than 10% net during any given year. This clause is valid only if the strength of the club is greater than or equal to 40 at the beginning of the rotary year.

We had 42 members at the beginning of the Rotary year. 10 % increase is allowed as we are more than 40 members. Therefore we can induct 4 members in the current year.

We inducted Rtn Hitesh at the beginning of the current year. Hence we can induct 3 more members for the year 13-14.

Membership development is indeed a very important aspect for the growth of the Club and Rotary. As we have received the profiles of 4 members now , we can look into inducting 3 members this year and induct the 4th member ( whoever it may be) on the day of installation of President 14-15 which is the beginning of next year.

If we have to induct new members more than the number specified in the by laws, we first need to look into revising the by laws and then look into inducting more number of members.

I have also marked Cc of this mail to the By laws committee.

What PP Rtn Rajie had mentioned is correct and had to be followed ... we can push one prospect to July ... Also meanwhile we can amend bye laws by calling for a meeting with only Rotarians of course before asking for suggestions and changes as done before 

Any changes if approved in bye laws will take force prospectively wef forthcoming rotary year 14-15...
