Author

J. Cyril Kanmony (b. 1956) M.A., M.Phil., M. Ed., B.G.L., Ph.D., serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Scott Christian College (Autonomous), Nagercoil-629003, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. He has published 36 learned articles in various journals and books including one in the internationally reputed journal, Economic and Political Weekly and has, to his credit, 27 well-researched papers presented in various Seminars and Conferences including one in Sri Lanka. He has also authored Dalits and Tribes of India, Drinking Water Management, Human Rights Violations, Global and Regional Economic Issues, Human Rights and Health Care, Human Rights Education, Economic Statistics and Mathematical Methods and edited proceedings of four seminars, one sponsored by the Planning Commission, Government of India and three sponsored by the University Grants Commission. He has completed two UGC funded Research Project, one on “Drinking Water Management” and the other on “Human Rights Violation” and is at present working on another UGC funded project on “Health Care in Rural Areas”.
