Hi

I was testing the -softsubs switch of tovid and it works. I can toggle the subtitles on and off.

However, the subs are not centered on the video. They're placed off centered, more to the left.

Is there a switch for softsubs to make it center? Or is this the normal behavior for softsubs for now until the kinks are worked out.

Again, I appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks

They are centered in my tests. What type of subtitle file are you using?
I am no expert in subtitles, but I don't think with *.srt there is a way
to adjust the display location, that is done with the video player. For
example VLC has a configuration for that. *.ass ans *.sas may be able to
change horizontal alignment, not sure.

Check your video player to make sure it is not set to align them left,
and the sub file itself if it is not *.srt.

cheers,
grepper

Hi grepper,

I'm using a srt file. So far, I've tested the dvd with VLC player. I'll check the configuration settings to align the subtitles.

I guess video players will have their way of dealing with subs in videos.

Thanks grepper for your help and feedback. :)
