Okay, this is old news, I actually uploaded tovid-0.35 over a month ago,
and put a notice on the wiki to that effect. But I seemed to have
neglected to post a message to this list.

The biggest changes:
mencoder has been removed and transcode is no longer a hard dependency.
avconv support.
removal of makexml and makemenu as it complicated the program and they
are redundant as the 'tovid disc' can take over their functions.

As downloads are no longer allowed on google code I am hosting the
tar.gz on google drive. Here is a quick link:

As well google code is shutting down, so I am in process of moving to a
new repo. More news to follow re this.

As a side note, in SVN HEAD the ability to use DVD style selectable
subtitles has been added. It is not as pretty as the burned in ones as
DVDs can only use a certain number of colours for this, but they are
quite acceptable IMHO. Also optional support for mpv (instead of
mplayer) has been added in SVN HEAD.

all the best,

I'm working on adding tovid as a package included in the buildroot project.
Currently it does an SVN checkout because the google drive is hard to automate
but the google code shutdown make that non-viable long term.
Please advise as to the new repos address once it's publicly available.

Also, how to best submit changes and improvements to tovid since I use it.

Hi Steve,
I will advise the list as soon as I am happy with the structure of the
new repository. I have imported the repo to github, but still need to
move the tags around a bit.

For submitting patches normally I would suggest attaching to an issue,
either bugfix or enhancement, but I have already moved all the issues
over so for now just posting to the mailing list with the attachment is
fine. At some future point if you desire git access I can set that up.
