Èzili Dantò: In Defense of the Haytian TPS Holders ...
Hayti is not safe and TPS people will return to a country that is worse, security-wise, than it was when they left it.
The question for those who curse the legally status of TPS Haytians; who celebrate in a very ugly and racist way the Supreme Court decision to end TPS for Haytians: Why the vitriol for Haytians but not the Syrians who are part of the same decision? Their melanin content?
Let's remember that, over $21 BILLION DOLLARS were raised in aid for earthquake victims. I wonder. If all that money, all those billions were used in Hayti to restore Hayti, would the situation that made TPS necessary not have improved and people better able to return home?
I wonder: if the NGOs, the Clintons and the Bushes who were managing the funds collected for the victims of Goudougoudou, if these people, and all their international acolytes, all the COREGROUP nations, if they did what they said they were doing. If they used this money to build a different Hayti as they said they would. If all the predators who profited from the misery of the earthquake victims and the pedophiles had not STOLEN the more than $21 BILLION DOLLARS raised in aid to help the earthquake victims—if those billions of dollars had actually been used to rebuild Hayti better as promised, instead of being stolen by international oligarchs, while feasting like greedy parasites on the bodies of 316,000 Goudougoudou victims, and bringing UN-cholera that killed more than 30,000 Haytians and sickened more than a million Haytian children—If all of this had not happened to us, wouldn’t the TPS holders have a good home to return to?
But U.S. made Hayti worse.
They used the disaster to make money, to steal as usual, to force Haytians to vote in rigged elections. They put their own corrupt regime with gangs and guns—legal bandits likeMichel Matelly—into positions of power. They rebuilt nothing.
Only stole. They used the disaster to put their puppets in power to sign any contract the Americans put in front of them. The colonists wanted to steal our oil, coltan, lithium, iridium, and Haytian gold. It was this second disaster that forced more Haytians to leave their land. Then, agents of the CIA, DEA, FBI, the American Embassy (see the Jovenel Moise assassination case in the Miami Court), and their house kneegrows, assassinated the puppet president when he finally said it was all too much and tried to at least provide the people with a modicum of electricity and a little bit of local agriculture. After their assassination, the United States closed the airport in the capital outright turning it into a U.S. military base.
As if all these shocks were not enough, the Westerners use Haytians fleeing their country as scapegoats to win domestic elections at home, and distract their masses, the unfortunate U.S. citizen, from seeing how the U.S. oligarchy lives off the people's money. While Wall Street gets a lot of public funds subsidizing their corporations, the American people cannot live well with the high cost of goods. Main Street has no affordable healthcare, no social safety net like the oligarchs who get bailed out on the regular. Hayti immigrants are blamed so that Americans don't see how the orange guy is covering up his government's failures by pretending that all U.S. problems are due to immigrants...
The oligarchy doesn't want the people to see how the Iran war went. This shows even more clearly how the United States is a collapsing empire, run by oligarchs who live off public funds of the state and are a people with a stealing disease. They're kleptomaniacs who are sucking the life out of their own people.
It's easy to insult Hayti, to project the root of U.S. domestic malaise onto scapegoats and to blame Haytian immigrants; ignore how the US has helped to create the political and economic crises that have long affected Hayti.
But if the American oligarchs and all categories of people like Erik Prince stopped stealing and murdering people in Hayti, if they closed the American Embassy in Hayti, if they returned home with all the NGO profiteers and pedophiles, and if they stopped arming terrorists and drug dealers while embargoing the real police force so that it doesn't get weapons, Haytians would have a chance to return home, root out the predators with their own hands, and rebuild Hayti better. For now, the American economic elites maintain the instability because they want to see Hayti without Haytians, to take the land, and if that means killing all Haytians, it is a project they have had since the time of Napoleon and Leclerc.
But Haytians defeated Napoleon in the midst of slavery. We will change this world again. For all humanity. To create a new world where profit is NOT more valuable than people and the environment.
It's our legacy to reach!
We will not give up. Alaso Haytian, Alaso — Èzili Dantò at HLLN, #FreeHayti, #FreeHaitiMovement, July 2026 #FreeHayti #LibereAyiti #FreeAyiti

A national liberation victory should not become impermissible merely because the liberated people were Black and the defeated power was European.
...Why is France’s imperial memory called heritage, while Hayti’s victory over enslavement is called politics? Bottom line: FIFA can order that the Battle of Vertières artwork be removed from the jersey kit. But they absolutely cannot remove Vertières from the people wearing it...
Batay Vètyè se eritaj nou li ye. Nou se pitit Vètyè. Zansèt nou yo te bat twa anpi pou aboli esklavaj.
The Battle of Vertière is our legacy. We are the children of Vertière. Our ancestors defeated three empires to abolish slavery. —Èzili Dantò, HLLN & FreeHaitiMovement
