Disruptor on the right and disruptor on the left which way America will go?
Jean Hervé Charles
One week before the primary election in New York, I try to engage the campaign of Zohran Mamdani to interact with the Haitian community. I received low support from the community for my initiative. One group demanded 5000 dollars to lead a last-minute campaign in the community. I bet 5$/50$ with a friend of mine that Mamdani will win the election beating Andrew Cuomo. On the night of the election when it was clear that Mamdani was the winner of the election, not only Cuomo graciously conceded but I pocketed my five dollars from my friend.
Mamdani like Donald Trump is launching a disruptor campaign that does not please the Democratic Party. The old guard is mounting a structure made of Andrew Cuomo and Eric Adams to derail the Mamdani movement and the Republic Party wants to strip him of his citizenship.
Donald Trump has been able to keep the Republican Party in line in spite of his disruptor campaign. Through carrot and stick, Donald Trump is navigating the national and the international politics with the skills of a magician.
Mamdani, a young politician of 33 years old, with the charisma of JD Vince (maybe it is the beard) and the eloquence of Obama, is the great white hope for the Democratic Party which is a Party in search of a leader and a vision.
America rejects the vision of abortion at any stage, LGBT, transgender, woke and diversity as the main vehicle to move the country in the next century. While China is moving like a meteorite to secure its fringe population of 800 million safely in the middle-class status, United States since the initiatives of Lyndon Johnson and Martin Luther King has not been able to place the 50 million blacks and minority out of the 350 million population into the safe pathway of middle-class status.
The Democratic Party invigorated by the magic intricacies of Bill Clinton has been able to survive the last thirty years. But it is at loss now, not in sync with the values of the American people. Enter the new disruptor Mamdani who seem to find the vehicle that match the Republican Party. With 5000 volunteers who speak several languages manning his campaign, I foresee in the next four years Mamdani will be a force in shaping who can frame the American reality for most Americans to buy its vision?
Because Mamdani was born in Kampala he is not eligible to run for President of the United States. But the canvass is clear, Trump and JD Vince want to lead America towards a nation with true American blood without the foreign or the alien contamination while Mamdani sees America is made of the children of immigrants who are as American as apple pie ready to revive and replenish America towards a better nation.
This phenomenon is already a reality in England where you have both the mayor of London and the Prime Minister are both descendant of India. And there are serious issues in America to solve such,
-how to help black people to stand up with the advance of gentrification in the urban cities,
-how to move millions of poor people from the welfare net to the labor market.
-how to replenish the housing market so the rent for a single bedroom can stop being marketed for 2000 dollars the month.
-how to raise the morale of the nation in particular the young so alienation will not be a common malaise.
- In brief how to help the 50 million minority to step into the bliss of middle class status.
Both the Republican and the Democratic Party has bread on the floor to propose and implement policies that might bring the American people close to the sweet taste of honey in this beautiful setting from sea to magnificent sea. The seedling was placed by John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Lyndon Johnson and Martin Luther King it needs water and manure to flourish and make America great again for ever.
