The battle between Republican and Democrat for the heart and the soul of the American people!
By Jean H Charles LLB, MSW, JD
Forty years ago I predicted that the Democratic Party has lost the battle for the heart and soul of the American people. I did not know that Bill Clinton was around to revive the Party for the next quarter of a century. Indeed when Ronald Regan won the election in a landslide of 49 states of out 50 against Walter Mondale, the Republican Party was on a spiral of success for the foreseeable future in the heart of the American people.
The reelection of Donald Trump with a popular vote and the majority of delegates and in both chambers in 2024, akin to Ronald Reagan in 1984, twenty years ago revives the conversation, is the Democratic Party on its way to extinction?
To support my reasoning, thirty years ago, I advance that the Bushes presidencies were Democrat in disguise, Pro war (Iraq, Iran, Middle East) by their policies. The decade of Obama was an experience in diversity politics that will not be repeated after the defeat of Kamala.
We are in square one in American politics where values are fundamentals in defining which way the people are heading into. I have defined the Democratic Party, the entity that rests on war to create prosperity, inflation to give the sentiment that wealth is spreading and libertine values to keep the mass happy and regulated.
While the Republican Party propels business as the engine of prosperity, American values represented by God, discipline, creativity and this nation above every other nation.
Time is the corrective measure of all deviations. The era of the culture of Puff Daddy and Epstein are coming to an end. Civilization from the edits of King Hammurabi to the commandments received by Moses from God himself has followed the same principle: respect for God and his principles, love for the homeland, protection and procreation of the family. We should add protection for the environment.
The identity values promoted by the Democratic Party, gender qualification, sexual preference, abortion and immigration at any cost remain abhorrent to most people.
Here comes Bill Clinton the charmer who fails in all its endeavors except the Good Friday agreement in ending the Civil War in Northern Ireland. He has managed to convince the electorate and the world that the Democratic Party is the Party of the future in solving the root causes of immigration (Kamala) without lifting one finger to root out the dictators or the demagogues that keep democracy at bay.
There was Obama the black charmer who deported more migrants (5.3 millions) than all the other presidents combined, with the charm and the cynicism of a Chicago politician habile with the verb a la Martin Luther King but not advancing either the Black Cause or the White Cause one iota.
And last but not least we have Joe Biden who all along chaperone his son to extract money and contract from Ukraine to China while plunging the USA and the world in a war without end with Russia, pauperizing the rest of the universe.
The sudden and the unexpected victory of Donald Trump has changed the vista for the United States and for the world. The election of 2024 can be compared to the election of 1800 when John Adams was opposing Thomas Jefferson. If the axe of evil did triumph in that election propelling Jefferson in the seat of power prolonging slavery and the hypocrisy of politics, in 2024 the axe of innocence resurfaces promising twelve years of uninterrupted renaissance (4 years of Donald Trump and 8 years of JD Vince) to make America great again and reset the world for peace, prosperity and change for the better as it would have been if the philosophy of John Adams have prevailed.
