ECOT activities during UNFCCC side events in Bangkok

As already mentioned in TourismScan and Contours in the past months,
ECOT will take part in a series of side events during the UN talks in
Bangkok between the 27th of September and 9th of October.

You will find below the list of events organised by ECOT:

-On 2nd October: ECOT will be facilitating a workshop on 'Climate
justice and Tourism' aimed at
raising awareness about the link between tourism and climate change to
grassroots communities

-On 3rd October: the outcomes of the 'Climate justice and tourism'
workshop will be presented at a one-day conference then will feed into
the People's Protocol on Climate Change.

Both events are taking place under the umbrella of the People's Action
on Climate Change (PACC). You will find more information on the PACC

-On 4th October: ECOT is organising a South Consultative meeting where
experts on climate change and tourism will draft an input paper that
will be presented at COP15 in Copenhagen in December 2009.
