On the occasion of the United Nations talks on Climate Change that
will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, between the 29th of September
and the 9th of October 2009, ECOT will take part in a series of side
events aiming at raising awareness about the impact of climate change
on grassroots communities. These events, organised by a committee of
NGOs from the Asia Pacific region grouped under the name 'People's
Action on Climate Change' will be both visual -parades, kite
flying...- and educational, with sectoral workshops, Training of
Trainers activities and a one-day Conference.

The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD), co-
organiser of the events, is launching a visual event and inviting all
of you to join their 'Women's Quilt on Climate Change', as a symbol of
unity, creativity and diversity against Climate Change.

You will find all the details on how to participate on the PDF
document 'Call for Participation PACC' in our TourismScan 'files'
section, or by contacting <asiancli...@gmail.com> and
www.asianclimatequit.org

ECOT will also organise and take part in other side events to
emphasize the link between climate change and tourism, we will inform
you very soon of the programs.

In the meantime, get ready for action!

ECOT team
