In addition to the physical size, the batteries come programmed with
software in them that helps them communicate with the laptop. The
CF28 and the CF29 use different software. In addition, the CF28 and
the CF48 use the same battery, but again, different software so the
battery you purchase has to have both programming for it to work in
both.
