Hello all,

Thank you for sending those confirmations and I will be cashing those checks today so they clear and I can pay the entrance fee and register tomorrow.

When I do register, I will need to provide our team name and team pace which we have already discussed so what are everyone's thoughts on having a team meeting/happy hour at 26 today around 6pm to finalize these discussions? I am going to the West Coast (Best Coast?) on Thursday for 5 days so if we have to push the meeting back a day or so then I can just call in or provide to someone my opinion.

Those who are not able to make it or not here in Birmingham can:

1. Either opt out of the discussion through this thread and trust the group who is able to meet
2. Provide their opinions on this thread before 6 pm
-OR-
3. If you do not do #1 or #2, you will be called this afternoon and forced to give your opinion

I promise you that everyone will feel better once we have this administrative stuff taken care of and can focus on training and encouraging each other. There will be no 'ATTN's for a while afterwards as well.

Please respond with thoughts.

Forrest

I won't be able to attend but I am good with the pace we decide upon yesterday. As for team name, I trust y'all's best judgement .

Thanks,
John

Fellow Ragnars,

Cant make it tonight.

I think a 10 min pace is a little more realistic with the elevation changes.... but I trust and support whatever you guys decide.

Team Name suggestions:

Birmingham Hammers   (yes i stole that from the nonexistent b'ham soccer team)

Dirty Frank and the boys

I thought they said RUM!

Magic City Bastards had a nice ring to it

-Frank

I have a work dinner tonight but I am down for whatever name and I think a 9-930 pace would work well.

9.5 sounds good to me as well. For our team name, I like ragnasticals.

I can't make it tonight either unfortunately....

I like the 9.5 min/mile range for the group.

I like the team name Frank proposed about rum. other ideas:

Pace Jam (space jam themed uniforms required)
Sweaty VANgina
Distance Dozen Matter

What do we think of 'Rum for your Life' with a pirate theme? Make our vans into pirate ships with 'I thought they said rum' written on the side.... Pirates do get two kinds of booty...
