one of our biggest concerns is how to best get new users up-to-speed
on using TT pro: there's definitely a high learning curve, and at this
point it requires a fairly large time investment on the part of the
user to learn how everything works.
so i guess there's two questions i'd like to put out there: first, of
the resources that we currently offer, which have you found the most
useful? right now there's the online (and now available in PDF) user
guide; the mobile version of the user guide, accessible from the
"help" link in the app; the "tour" videos, which illustrate a lot of
the operation, but are far from comprehensive; and the integrated help
icons. have people found any of these particularly helpful? one thing
we've been considering is making more videos, with a focus on
training, rather than touring -- to the extent that we could have a
video for each section or subsection of the guide. does this seem like
it'd be useful?
the second question is, are there any thoughts or ideas on what else
we could do to help with learning TT pro? we've had a few people
suggest some kind of interactive tutorial mode, although there's still
a lot of uncertainty as to how such a thing would work. we've also
considered a "tip mode", which would add several "tips" throughout the
program, which could optionally be opened to read more about how
things work. similarly, "startup tips" are another option -- general
suggestions for things to try out, each time TT starts up.
do any of these sound potentially useful? we're also quite open to any
other suggestions. anything that anyone else has used with other
applications (iphone or otherwise) that has been effective?
