another one of our upcoming projects is to upgrade our terminal
emulation from VT100 to xterm. this will fix a number of issues,
including:
- full color support
- better compatibility with GNU screen (for persistent connections)
- better compatibility with modern screen-based programs
- ability to resize the terminal display from the standard 80x24
