I have a 73-key (E-E) TK system waiting to be installed since a while, originally planned for a Nord Electro 3HP which has very straight, long and piano-like keys. However, I wanted to combine the TK with a fully featured keyboard controller (while still portable) for my experiments, so I now plan to install it on a Nord Stage 2EX Compact, which has the same key range, but also has after touch, pitch bender and modulation wheel - and in addition, has more complex sound sources. However, the Compact model has shorter keys, and the black keys are slightly rounded.
The length can be adjusted by cutting according to the TK installation instructions, but what about the rounded keys? Can the sensors be installed to follow the contour, or should I try to put something in between to build up so they become straight?
I attach a pic to show what I mean. Does anybody have experience from a similar situation?
Thanks,
Palle
