New issue 61 by rksmith...@yahoo.com: As I type, the cursor will jump
somewhere and my text gets inserted there
http://code.google.com/p/touchfreeze/issues/detail?id=61

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I will be typing input into a document.
2. When I am typing in an Internet application especially (e.g. Wordpress)
or using Citrix on another computer, will pause typing briefly (1-2 sec).
Suddenly cursor is in a place where I have already typed, adding my text
there. I am not touching my pad when it jumps.
3. Wife has the same problem on Yahoo Mail.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is to continue typing where the cursor was. Instead, get
the text I am typing inserted somewhere else in my document. So this
paragraph might look like:
Expected output is to coninserted somewhere else in my document.tinue

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using Version 1.1 on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1

Asus X53S with synaptics touchpad. If I plug in a mouse, the problem seems
to be much less frequent.

My Toshiba Laptop Windows 7 does the same thing. I'm not sure how to use
touchfreeze? Is there something I could do to help this situation?
Something newer available. Today's date is 6/26/14 Thanks.

I have the same problem, and have been reading complaints about this issue
going back at least five years. How is it even possible that such an
annoying glitch has not yet been clearly diagnosed and a simple,
straightforward solution provided to everyone?

My control panel does not have any "Tapping" or "tap-to-click" option
anywhere that I can find. The "touchfreeze" file does not have a valid
Publisher's signature.

You can't expect the developers to test this on every computer ever in the
world. If you have this problem, you need to give them your specific
hardware configuration: what brand of computer, what type and brand of
mouse.

Also, the way this program blocks clicks simply doesn't work 100% of the
time. It may be that he simply can't block the mouse taps by using the
standard Windows mouse and keyboard hooks.

Very pleased to see others who have this problem. I have Vista 32 home
premium with built-in touchpad. Alps util. touchpad detection with 2
buttons L & R.
Letters appear within sentence out of turn. Otherwise it may seize. Often
the cursor flies off to off the field of vision.
Nothing solves it but a factory reset, seems to me from last time, yet it
returns.
Is it certain letters that trigger?

I installed TouchFreeze donationware 1.1.0 from
https://code.google.com/p/touchfreeze/ on my Dell Inspiron laptop with
Vista Home Premium. The jumping cursor problem has not shown its ugly head
ever since. I leave it in Automatic Mode (by right or left-clicking on the
TouchFreeze icon in the notification area of the task bar, and
selecting "Load at system startup").
