Hey guys,

Hope you had a good long holiday weekend.

Hard to believe, but we're four weeks away from Demo Day, meaning it's crunch time.  I know we haven't been going off our Zoho calendar for a while, which probably should have been expected, but it's time to be more efficient with the time that we have.  This partly means working harder, but it also means we should sacrifice some brainstorming time in favor of putting together a great presentation.  More on this in a bit.

One special announcement I'd like to make is that my older brother Sai Hei will be helping us over the next few months.  He's in between jobs and was generous enough to lend his time during what should be his vacation.  He is an algorithmic trader and got his masters in Computational Design and Optimization from MIT so he'll be a massive help in everything we're doing, programming or otherwise.

I'd also like to give a special shoutout to Joey for all of his help this past week.  It's been incredibly helpful having him take the initiative to do a lot of the research on the payments side.

OK, so on to the action plan for the rest of the month:

Our goal from the start was to make our technology available for licensing via an API, and to also pursue a specific business that we find the most promising - our flagship product.  This is going to be reflected in our website, with separate "TouchBase Technologies" and "TouchBase Payments" sections.  With this in mind, let's tailor our presentation the same way.

I'm thinking for Demo Day, we should have a demo app ready for people to play around with.  For this demo app, I'm thinking we'll have a home page where testers can choose four different applications of our technology, kinda like an arcade.  We can discuss what we want these five apps will be, but I'm thinking 1) Game (something like a Pokemon Stadium) 2) Metro North tickets 3) Business cards 4) Product Authentication and 5) Payments.  We can use TestFlight (https://testflightapp.com/) to distribute the demo app to people without actually getting on the app store, and we can hand out demo cards at the event.  I envision most of these apps really having the same mechanics underneath, just with a different shell.

Here are our individual responsibilities:

Sai To - field research on merchant and consumer pain points, investigate ACH processing options with banks and third party payment processors; demo app work; website work
James - help me research on integrating ACH payments; API creation.  demo app work
Jon - finish simulation to get total number of unique IDs; do research to address the question; demo app work
Melanie - develop and send over the action plan for printing; help on business plan creation; website work
Sai Hei - website work, API creation
Joey - field research on merchant and consumer pain points; investor search and prioritization
Frank - let's connect by phone soon so we can keep you updated on what's going on; It would be great if you can work on the demo app as well.

I know this is a lot to consume so I'll schedule a meeting later today for us to talk about all of this.  How about a working lunch?

Thanks,

Sai To
