   Well, I just found this group too and I am amused to see that someone is claiming to be me, 'Metaphysicist'. Yup, the one and onlty Meta. I joined Totse aound 2000, became a Mod,  then a Super Mod [with Panthrax]. Jeff shuts down Totse, so we all mover to Zok's site. I sure don't know who is trying to be  me, but I gots to say that I am very flattered. But you ain't me. I provided here my Bona Fides. Does Fake Meta have any history to provide to back up their claim?

   The fact that I'm even bothering to post this should show that I am indeed a 61 year old disabled man who is so bored that he replies  to the likes of this.

   Ah, just like posting in the olden times....

    All things considered I'm doing ok.. I did  manage to drive my car into a ditch about 12 years ago and so I'm now in a wheelchair - it was such a dumb-ass move, lol.... Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play... 😛.

I totally forgot about this site... Soo many sites I used to frequent from these days died either because the admin didn't want to deal with it or hardware failure and lack of backups. A notification I would never if expected people still searching out the community that was there

I mostly lurk and read on totse too. I think my post per day ratio was like 0.45 before it shut down. 

Metaphysicist, I am sorry you are in a wheelchair. I can sort of relate.  I broke my lower spine in two places in 2017. The pain was incredible. 2025 I'm still in pain but a lot more functional now.

Sorry to hear about your spine troubles -  that kinda pain really sucks - I live with it every day and ever since the public and Gov gov got all hot and bothered about  the 'opiate crisis' my Dr. cut my pain meds in half; and that was before I broke my back. So I'm supposed to be ok with 10mg oxy 6 times a day [Hell, I used to have that AND 6omg morphine 3 times a day]. And he has the chutzpah to tell me I drink too much. Ain't that a kick in the old keister. Ah, but me thinks I bitch too much...

Sorry to hear about the back Meta; I had the unlucky bit of breaking my back thankfully recovered (T11/T12 area)... however mine was Home-Alone style slipping down icy steps.  I also managed to smash my head off the wall recently.  What's the new thing that keeps you busy?

    Well thank you but you know the way I see it? It could always be worse! The first 6 months or so after I got home from the hospital I was was totally useless from the waist down [couldn't even fucking crap without help]. I was at the total mercy of other people and it sucked! I wasn't sure I wanted to continue living if life was going to be this way. But, by damn, by the Graces of whatever Beings control the Universe & Reality, after about 6 months I found I slowly  got functions back. I'm still mostly wheelchair bound but I've regained enough abilities back that I can still live on my own. So you see? It could be so much worse... But I prattle on....
