I am an absolute beginner and I want to be sure I understand the framework of express so I figure I would start with simple statics like dB connection, app ver, logging. When setting the properties of your app what is the correct approach to store static values like "App Ver 0.1" so that anywhere in the application you can access it. Sorry if this sounds stupid I just need to get more comfortable with node and express, I have been reading Node.js in Action and it is a bit advanced for me right now. Also can someone inform me of more group for something like express or hood.ie

Hi Bob,
on this community we solve problems with total.js, not with express.js. Total.js is a similar web application framework for node.js as express.js.
So you must visit express.js community forum.

Thanks.

Hi Bob,
i'm beginner like you, but found partial better than express, search here for SQL, you'll find some startup applications I posted after comprehensive Q&A and trials.

wish you the best.
