Howdy Y'all,
After a really exciting launch of ImpactStory on Monday, we're turning our attention to the API in the next few weeks. We've already changed things a bit to report percentiles as well as raw numbers. But we're making some bigger changes, and releasing them as api /v1, scheduled for release late next month. That'll have:
- a /v1 in the url. duh :)
- possibly some minor updates to the json schema for items.
- no more tiids. Items can be added directly by DOI, without any intermediate steps.
- the JS embed code is going away. We're getting much more interest in the REST API, and the embed stuff is a lot of work to maintain--especially since it now needs a pretty thorough overhaul in the wake of the relaunch. You'll still be able to customize our item-display js and run it locally if you want to emulate our display style.
As always, questions and feedback welcome. Really excited about launching a more stable API to go along with the relaunch!
