TCS v9 full version now available

Hi Guys,

I believe that the full version of TCS v9 (v9.0.01.02) has been released overnight at http://www.totalcricketscorer.com/TCSWeb/TCSDownload.aspx and all references to v8 have now been expunged.

The link to this forum from totalcricketscorer.com no longer exists.

It installed Ok, but am having the registration "stick" - it lets me go through the process, tells me it's ok and greys out the Register TCS and Get code buttons, only for it to revert to demo mode when TCS is closed down and reopened.

Reported to helpdesk - apparently I'm not the only one ... fix awaited.

Think I managed it today - but it's all very nebulous. Hardly straightforward.

I've also downloaded the new version and am having the same registration issue so 'nice' to know I'm not alone with this problem! Also I'm not sure if it's just me but the icons on the ribbon are very pixelated especially the numbers and symbols on the scoring tab, is anyone else experiencing this and if so is there a fix for this? v8 was fine and within the 'style' option it gave me different colour settings for the layout but in v9 the style tab has a dropdown arrow with nothing in it! Again just me or a glitch? Any help would be appreciated.

There has been a further update to v9 on 31st March. As a first-time user of the full version of TCS I can report that I have installed the latest updated version, registered it , and released the live scores licence (I think this should be automatic if your Club was previously registered for live scores and the Club name remains the same) but there was a glitch which may have been resolved by the latest update. I have been able to import xml match data (teams, players, umpires, grounds etc) kindly supplied by a colleague, without any issues and have proceeded to score a dummy match. The Live Scores feed showed up fine on totalcricketscorer.com as usual and the feed to the TCS widget on our Club website also worked fine.

Whilst I haven't tested v9 extensively, and others who are used the full version may notice differences from earlier versions, my experience of it and the help offered by Cric HQ TCS support has so far been positive.

Not such good news for TCS users on the iPad, of which I was one.... whilst your live scores feed may continue for now until your licence expiry date, there is now no support for the iPad app, and CricHQ are informing that they will not renew live scores licences for the iPad. Their advice is apparently to move to scoring on the CricHQ app for the iPad instead. It seems that the days of TCS scoring on the iPad are numbered (no support, no live scores, no P-C integration).

Has anyone been able to successfully install this new version....I had major problem trying to install version 9 a couple of days ago resulting in me needing to do a system restore !!!

The new version installed fine (as an update), and fixed the registration problem.
