I am new to jsp programming. I was previously able to open a jsp page in the browser to view the html layouts, however now when i try to open the a jsp page, the file download window pops up and asks me to either save or open the file in IE9 and just displays the whole code in Firefox.

Hello. It's been a couple of months since I've used gamemaker and now, when I click "run", the game opens in a tab in my internet browser instead of opening in a seperate window like it did before. I assume this is because of a recent update but I don't know how to make it stop. Is there a way I can make it go back to a separate window?

I hosted my VB application in Win Server 2016, with Citrix image in it. The application has a provision to open up pdf files within the application grid itself were browser control is embedded, and while clicking on the pdf file, it is supposed to open up within the embedded grid itself, but now after migrating to Win server 2016 and while trying to open the pdf, it is showing as a pop-up with options either to Save or View from it, which ultimately opens pdf in the default pdf viewer.

My issue here is, in my VB application, I have an embedded web browser control, where the PDF should load up, upon choosing from the list of PDF's provided, instead it is showing up as a download window, stating either to Open or Save the file. I strongly believe it has something to do with some citrix setting, but could figure it out.

In recent releases of IE, Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, and latest Citrix Workspace App clients many of the issues mentioned below have been resolved.

By default, the OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) should automatically set how to open ".ica" files when trying to launch any resource via Citrix Workspace or Citrix Storefront via the Web Store if the Citrix Workspace App is installed properly.

Confirm Citrix Workspace App is installed or use Citrix Workspace App for HTML5 ("Web Browser" option) instead.

If you continue to encounter this behavior please review the steps outlined below.

When clicking on an application or desktop to launch via Citrix Workspace or Citrix Storefront on an Internet Browser (not within Citrix Workspace App) and an ".ica" file shows in the download bar on the bottom left please follow these steps to automatically open said file:

ICA file is downloaded during the process. After the ICA file is downloaded, enable the browser to open similar files automatically.

Note: Instructions below are similar for other OS's when using Google Chrome, Firefox, or Edge Browsers.

Remove or disable any third party browser based Adware software that could be interfering with the successful launch of the ICA file. Restart the browser after removing these software and try again.

PDFs opening in Chrome instead of Adobe? You might be interested in switching your settings to open PDFs in your reader instead of your browser. If so, here are a few step-by-step instructions for changing the settings in your PDF reader or software (for example, Adobe Acrobat Reader):

Yes, you can open a PDF without designated PDF reading or editing software downloaded onto your device. In fact, not having a PDF reader downloaded may be one of the reasons why your PDFs are automatically opening in Chrome. Chrome has a built-in PDF viewer that will allow you to view your PDFs. If you want to perform other functions on your PDFs (like securing them, converting them, and editing them) without downloading software, you can use Acrobat online services.

If you try curl [youraddress]/index.html -vvv what response headers are showing for you? I am interested if Content-Type was set incorrectly, which is one reason the browser will not recognise it as HTML and download the file instead.

It seems like linksharing might not be detecting the right content type. It tries to auto-detect based on the extension. If Content-Type is set in metadata (or content-type in lowercase put by S3 clients), it will use that instead of guessing.

when I click on a link in my browser, such as a search result from a search engine, it always opens and switches to 1Password instead of my browser. To keep working with my browser I need to switch back from the 1Password app, to my browser. I am using Safari for Mac. This problem started today after updating 1Password.

1Password Version: 7.9.2
Extension Version: 2.3.0
OS Version: 12.2.1
Referrer: forum-search:when I click on a link in my browser it always opens and switches to 1Password instead of my browser

Edit: Now it happened here to, at this forum. Even though I removed the plugin, 1Passsword shows up in Safari, wanting me to use my fingerprint numerous times and showing like three different 1Password alternatives. I have to try all three of them before finding the right one of them. I hope I can get rid of all this really soon. How do I fix this or how do I get rid of 1Password in my browser??

Thanks for following up. Generally speaking to avoid confusion with saving passwords in multiple places we'd recommend turning off your browser's default password manager: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser

So browser these days try to be helpful and not force downloads by default. The way you can get the old functionality is to set the Content-Disposition header on the request to attachment which will cause the browser to download the file instead of showing it embedded on the page.
