AAll Subscriber Data and any and all design documents (e.g., analysis algorithms) furnished by Subscriber in whatever form (collectively, the "Subscriber IP") are and shall remain the exclusive and confidential property of the Subscriber or of those third parties designated by Subscriber as having an interest therein. Subscriber and such third parties shall retain all right and title (including, without limitation, all proprietary rights), to the extent of their respective interests, in and to the Subscriber IP. Cloudant shall have no right to copy, transfer, sell, disclose, license, alter, or otherwise use the Subscriber IP for any purpose, except pursuant to the terms set forth herein in connection with the Hosting Services.

This is excellent, although I suppose their entire premise wouldn't really work if they said that they retained ownership rights of any user data.
