Hey everyone,

I just stumbled[1] across[2] the recently accepted PEP438[3], which
introduces PyPI settings to control which urls are extracted from a
packages long_description and how they are tagged in the simple/ index.

In a nutshell, this allows to only present the real package
distribution download urls to the install tools instead of having them
to check all URLs in the description for downloads which can be quite
downslowing sometimes.

I just wanted to inform the package index owners about that, maybe you
want to check your packages if you can omit some URLs by using the new
functionality.

Happy Monday,
Moritz

I just updated all packages I own for this. Thanks for the heads up
Moritz!
