Just received and listening to. Good sound, and slightly more amazing than the subsequent commercial recordings, maybe due to the presence of a public, which enthusiastically vowed the old Maestro. Caniell intervention is in the Weber's Oberon ouverture, due to the presentation speech which ends on the first beats of the piece. Caniell cuts also long spoken commentaries, but adds a concluding Grauer's reference to the Oberon, from another performance, to soften the abrupt concert conclusion.

Caniell attended these concerts, so he can give a direct remembering of both concerts.
