Respighi Roman trilogy on Grand Slam Records remastered by Naoya Hirabayashi
This is the third remastering of these works by Hirabayashi. This time using 2 track reel to reel tape, 15 IPS. I like this mastering very much, the. sound is fantastic.
Vladimir Horowitz - Legendary RCA Recordings - Blu-spec CD 2 remastering
The two cd set contains a wide selection of works but of interest here is the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto #1 (1941) conducted by Toscanini.
The sound is generally clearer than the Toscanini Collection release.
Releasing in late January
The Brahms Piano Concerto #2, the May 9, 1940 recording,
also Blu-spec CD 2 remastering
Finally, CD Japan and Tower Japan are listing for release in late December
Beethoven Symphony #2 (1939 NBC Symphony Orchestra) and
Symphony #7 (1935 BBC Symphony Orchestra (which performance is not indicated))
from a label called "Solid/Membran". This appears to be a new label.
I know I should probably skip it but the addiction is strong.
