ITC Bradley Hand? is an informal script face based on the handwriting of British designer Richard Bradley. Warm and familiar, ITC Bradley Hand has a relaxed rhythm typical of handwriting and lends a personal touch to computer generated copy. Bradley, who has been a lettering artist, type designer and studio artist for close to 30 years, has devoted much of his work to Christian literature, and has designed typefaces for scripture verses placed on panels or walls. With ITC Bradley Hand, he has created a friendly, everyday typeface that humanizes the look of digital text. Released in 1996, ITC Bradley Hand is available in regular and bold weights.

Bradley Hand Font Family is totally based on the handwritten which designed by British designer Richard Bradley since 1995. All the letters included in this family are drawn with hand and it seems like texture are drawn with a felt tip pen on rough paper. Possessing TrueType file formats, it makes the designs more classy and elegant.

My dad works on the business side of an industry that involves a lot of creative work. He is redesigning his website and currently is using Bradley Hand for headers because he feels it feels friendlier and gives his site a more creative feel. I'm trying to convince him that it looks unprofessional but I obviously want to meet him halfway. Does anyone have any recs for alternatives? I'm thinking something like Univers but I think he'd like to see some handwriting (but maybe more consistency between letters) typefaces.

Andrew Clapham: It's certainly a bold move but it also has some risks. The fact that Bashir is a sitting head of state doesn't mean he has any kind of immunity. The statute of the ICC makes it clear in article 27 that a head of state can be tried, but by bringing this case against Bashir implies that the government and the state as a whole is responsible. As the accusation is genocide, that is quite dramatic.

I haven't seen the evidence, so I can't judge what he's got, but genocide is notoriously difficult to prove on the facts, as you have to show an actual intention to destroy a group in whole or in part.

And there is some concern among some of the international lawyers following this case that by charging genocide you get everyone's attention, but you also disappoint victims and you look as though you went over the top if the court eventually finds that there is not enough evidence on genocide. But it's hard to say. It's quite a high-risk strategy.

Just over five years since war broke out in Darfur, the situation remains grim. Peace talks have failed to get off the ground, only 9,000 of the 26,000-strong hybrid United Nations-African Union peacekeeping mission have been deployed and two-thirds of the region's population are dependent on the world's largest aid operation.

The conflict, which has claimed over 200,000 lives and displaced 2.5 million people in Sudan and 400,000 into Chad, has become more complex and seems to have entered a new phase.

In June UN organisations warned that conditions were poised to deteriorate rapidly in Darfur. UN humanitarian coordinator Mike McDonough described a "perfect storm" of threatening developments: growing violence, overcrowding in refugee camps and a bad harvest.

In February 2007 the ICC indicted two Sudanese officials for war crimes relating to Darfur. Yet Sudan says the ICC has no jurisdiction and refuses to hand over the suspects.

Prosecutors argue that Pfc. Bradley Manning is a glory-seeking traitor. His lawyers say Manning is a naive whistleblower who was horrified by wartime atrocities but didn't know that the material he leaked would end up in the hands of al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden.

It is well recognized that transformative advancements in most areas of enquiry will occur at the interface of disciplines and will require a truly multidisciplinary team to tackle. Hence the need for convergent research. While many universities around the world recognize this fact, few have taken the bold step of actually creating truly multidisciplinary initiatives such as the RENEW Institute at UB, Goyal said.

Because, they are indeed hard to establish; given the disciplinary silos, characteristic of most academic institutions. To do so, requires a university to have bold and visionary leadership; for which, I thank President Tripathi, Provost Zukoski, Dean Folks and the other deans of schools comprising the RENEW Institute for their exemplary leadership.
