After I upgraded to the latest version of TortoiseSVN I can no longer use it on folders on the network. It still works fine on my local drive though.
PROBLEM 1 : TWO SVN CONTEXT MENU ENTRIES
Whenever I right click a folder on the network, two SVN menus show up (context menu), with almost the same content. Note that I did a complete uninstall of SVN as I thought it was something from my previous version that was stuck. That did not help though. When I re-installed the latest version both SVN menu selections show up again. See attached image.
PROBLEM 2 : NO PATH OR PATHFILE
Whenever I try to do something (click a TortoiseSVN command, like checkout, export, repo-browser etc) I get the error message "No path or pathfile specified on the command line!" See attached image.

Whenever I chose something from the first SVN entry in the right click context menu the following error is displayed:
TortoiseProc Launch failed
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
PATH
The path to my network folder is:
\\s092\projects\_svn\closedSourceOne
I've also tried mapping the folder as a separate drive but that did not make any difference.

Just to be sure: Did you reboot your computer after the installations?

Sorry, but please don't change the subject in the middle of a thread,
and please quote some context!
Regarding your original problem: Don't put working copies on network
drives. It's technically possible, but not recommended at all. Working
copies aren't supposed to be shared.

Reason being is that the working copy is on my private NAS drive with RAID. Working this way has always worked just fine, until the latest TortoiseSVN version.

And the reason behind that is something like "having a backup"? It's
probably more important to backup the repository itself, working copies
are kind of unimportant ...
Is that working copy an upgraded one? Do you encounter the same problem
with a fresh checkout?

My problem is that I can do no operations after the update of TortoiseSVN. I can not upgrade and I can not checkout. Whenever I try to do anything I get the error message:
"No path or pathfile specified on the command line!"

I downgraded to version 1.7.1.22161-x64 and everything works fine again. Guess I'll just have to wait for a newer version of TortoiseSVN where hopefully this bug will be fixed.

You might have to wait a long time since it is not yet proven that it
is a bug. I think a lot of people would have noticed if their TSVN
installation didn't work at all. Sounds like your install failed in
some way. You could just try installing 1.7.5 again.
BTW It seems you are using _svn rather than .svn as the metadata
directory. That is still sort of supported now, but only by editing an
environment variable SVN_ASP_DOT_NET_HACK. The problem that it deals
with has been fixed in ASP.NET for many years now.

You have a valid point there. It might be something with my system, and not the sw. However I have tried installing it several times with no luck, I've also tried some "registry cleaning" after the uninstall. Thought there could be some old settings there that caused the problem. I might just wait and try to upgrade when the next release comes out. I should also try to install the same version on another Win 7 64bit machine, to see if the same thing happen.

No, that path of mine is a bit misleading. I am using .svn for metadata. The full path is:
\\s092\projects\_svn\closedSourceOne\.svn

Have you tried downloading another copy, perhaps from another
SourceForge mirror? Maybe the installer itself was corrupted.

It is always recommended to check the digital signature, as explained here:

Thanks! The digital signature is valid on the first downloaded file though.

I just took a quick look at the sources, and from what I understand,
this message is generated inside TortoisePorc::InitInstance(), if
there's no value for the key "pathfile" in the command line.
Fortunately there's a debug switch in the registry
(HKCU\Software\TortoiseSVN\Debug). Can you create that key (a DWORD) and
set it to something != 0? That should bring up a message box with the
command line. Please copy and paste the result here, it might help one
of the developers to tell us what's wrong.

Thanks. I'll try this as well.
I'll update this thread with more information as soon as I've done some testing.
