Hello,

I use TortoiseSVN 1.6.5 under Windows XP SP3 64 Bit and 32 Bit
I want to hide some submenu under TortoiseSVN in the shell extension.
I have found and try the Disable context menu entries (http://
tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-admins-
disablemenus.html)

But it doesn't help me because it only level up the menu that I want
to hide in the shell.
Do you know a workaround ?

Thank you.

Arthrax.

Why do you feel the need to remove access to TortoiseSVN functionality?

The 32-bit registry hive on x64 systems can be found under
HKLM\software\Wow6432Node

Andy --> I'm installing Visual SVN in my firm for developer team. Only
one person in this team know how to use SVN. So in order to start
slowly I want to limit TortoiseSVN functionality for the beginning, I
want to keep only basic function like commit, update, .... Then, there
will be limited right by user; for example project leader choose some
people who work only in trunk so they don't need to have branch and
tag functionality.

Stefan --> I have checked this key but I can't find what I need. I
have also tried on a 32 Bit computer and I have the same issue.

I think that the hard work is already done with the chapter "Disable
context menu entries" so I have to found how to hide or disabled it
from the shell.

* Which registry entries did you set exactly? To which values?
* Which menu entries do you want to hide?
* Where do they still show up?

I have finally find and it was my mistake !!!

When I was setting regkeys, I was working on ContextMenuEntries and
ContextMenuEntrieshigh which are not the good keys for hidding.
Good one are ContextMenuEntriesMaskLow and ContextMenuEntriesMaskHigh.

So after created these new keys, function are hided.

If you haven't asked your questions, I will never find my mistake,
thank you very much for your help.

Thank you to all and happy new year ;)

Hi.
I have the same problem.
i did the disable/enable context menu with the table of register of each
item, but persist the whole context menuu option, like this
<http://tigris-scm.10930.n7.nabble.com/file/n96233/problem.png>

how can i hide the whole context menu?
i disable the regedit option
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\TortoiseSVN]

but the all entries were disable.

regards

Extaon

if you don't want the context menu, then why do you need TSVN?
If you only want to disable some menus, then read the docs:
http://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-admins-disablemenus.html
