Hi,

I have one user whose TSVNCache process sends a "ping" to our SVN server (as observed the apache2 logs). The browser string from other_vhosts_access.log looks like

[server hostname]:443 172.17.0.1 - - [11/Feb/2026:15:05:56 -0600] "GET /svn/ HTTP/1.1" 200 809 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; Trident/7.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; Tablet PC 2.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)"

The 172 IP is the Docker container that runs our SVN server. This "ping" occurs every minute, and stops when user kills the TSVNCache.exe process.

I can find nothing in the TortoiseSVN docs about this and AI is no help. Is this "ping" an undocumented feature?

VR, Charlie
