1. Create a simple text file with two revs.
2. Right click TortoiseSVN->Blame+Ok
3. TortoiseSVN Error Dialogue: Unexpected Server termination.
4. Check svnserver service. It is stopped.
5. Restart service.

Server: WHS (Server 2003) running svnserver as a service.
SVN URL: svn://server:3690/Projects

Client: Windows XP to local repository.
D:/SVN/Scripts/computers.txt

Please report this on the Subversion mailing list, since it's the server
that's terminating.
And include the versions of TSVN/svn you're using when you report this.

Thanks, I will do.
I was not sure where the problem lay.

I did a bit more digging and found:
1. Svnserver and TortoiseSVN are working fine for normal (working to repo) diff, checkin, update, etc.
2. A 'diff_with_previous_version' shows that there appears to be something wrong with looking back at previous versions in the repositary. "Unreadable path encountered."
3. log_message goes offline then displays a strange path.
4. Finally blame stops svnserver.

I have uninstalled the client and deleted everything out of the registary.
Installed CollabNetSubversion-client-1.6.0-9.win32.exe and upgraded the server to the same with TortoiseSVN 1.6.99.16133

what strange path is that?

did you do the blame from the log dialog? from the log dialog that
showed that 'strange' path?

From screen shot log_message_offline2.png attached previously:

E:\CSVN_WINDOWS_1.6.0-Final\CSVN_WINDOWS_1.6.0\subversion\tmp\subversion\subversion\libsvn_repos\log.c

The log_message was generated by right clicking computers.txt in explorer.
i.e. <Right click>->TortoiseSNV->Show log

If this is a 'path' it is rubbish.
NOTE: I have logged this as an error with Subversion (#3397). At their request I have sent them a command line blame and diff that shows the errors are probably with svnserver 1.6.0+.
