Hi!

I have a "Changed Files" windows open (opened from repo browser) and there one file is listed with Action of "Normal (properties only)".

If I doubleclick it, I get a content compare window (TortoiseMerge) showing two same contents.
How can I get a comparison of the properties?
I remember it sometimes appeared after I closed the TM window, but in this case nothing happens.

Also I see no context menu item for this.

Using:
TortoiseSVN 1.9.7, Build 27907 - 64 Bit , 2017/08/08 19:34:38
On Windows 7 Pro

Regards,
David

The TMerge window shows you the property before and after the change.
Problem is that since properties are "binary" and not real text, it could be just a change in a newline which TMerge won't show as a difference.

There should be a context menu entry "Show as unified diff" which might also help.

Not sure if I understand.
TMerge shows me the file contents, not the properties.

TMerge can also show diffs of properties.

I know it can.
That is why I started this thread, because the "Changed Files" window claims there are changes in the properties of this file, yet TMerge does not display them (the properties, even if they may be "same").

I think I know the problem now:
double-click on a file always shows the content diff, not the property diff.
If you right-click and choose "compare revisions", then TMerge shows up with the property diff.

Maybe it would be reasonable to change this behavior so double clicking on a file with content and property changes opens both diffs (as double clicking on a file in the commit window does already)?
I ran into this issue several times and was also wondering why the diff didn't show up. However until now, I wasn't aware of the exact conditions.
