1.6.2 : Ordinal 9281 could not be located in mfc900u.dll

Hi,

 

I’ve just installed the 1.6.2 version, on a 32bit vista computer

When I try to run “programs\TortoiseSVN\help”, I have a messagebox “The ordinal 9281 could not be located in the dynamic link library mfc90u.dll”, then, when I click on OK button, I’ve got a vista error “TortoiseSVN client has stopped working”.

 

The vista problem signature is :

Everything was working fine before I’ve installed this new version, but I don’t know anymore what version I had before.

On my Vista x64 box, I see two versions of mfc90u.dll scattered through
various assemblies in the \Windows tree: 9.0.21022.8, which does NOT
have that ordinal (it is a much smaller DLL), and 9.0.30729.1, which
DOES have that ordinal (and is almost 3 times the size of the older
version).

So, for one reason or another, your TSVN installation is not seeing the
right version of mfc90u.dll... possibly the installer you used is bad,
or maybe someone has been "mixing and matching" pieces of packages
manually on your system, resulting in this mismatch?
