Hi,

I've been installing tortoise 1.6.7 this morning and get this error on
each operation:

OPTIONS of 'https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/svn/KP/trunk': SSL handshake
failed: SSL
error: block type is not 01 (https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

Tested back with release 1.6.6 and all is working fine.

Any suggestions to fix this error ??

Regards,
Nicolas

Maybe this thread might help you narrowing the problem down a little bit:

sadly, I don't speak French (it is a personal failing), but the 1.6.7
upgrade has many developers in my office stuck as they cannot
communicate with our https-based server.

Can someone summarize the solution in English?

Hello, hello, is this thing on? Is there something about the upgrade
from 1.6.6 to 1.6.7 that should require me to regenerate
certificates? Did the SSL library change (libraries, versions?) and
it got stricter about certficate formatting?

My team misses TSVN, and they're starting to look at other version
control solutions.....

The commands are all in English. Some of the text (I know about 3
words in French) can be deduced via context.

For the rest, there's Google Translate.

We use TortoiseSVN with Ubuntu, Apache, and SSL. I did not have any problems when I upgraded to 1.6.7. I don't recall if I was using 1.6.6 before the upgrade.

The Neon (http) library changed, so it may be related to that.

You can always go back to 1.6.6 if that works for you.
