Progress Window - Transferring 0 Bytes/s

Recently I upgraded both the server as well as the clients TortoiseSVN, and am having a problem with the progress window displaying constantly "Transferring 0 Bytes/s". The update is occurring there is just no feedback.

Server is running svn, version 1.8.8 (r1568071) on Ubuntu.
Clients running TortoiseSVN 1.8.5 and now recently 1.8.6 tested with the same issue. I then attempted to install at the time the latest nighlty
TortoiseSVN 1.8.99, Build 25412 - 32 Bit -dev, 2014/04/09 20:20:35 and the progress displays normally. Both images are attached zero.png is running 1.8.6 and correct.png shows 1.8.99.

I did some further investigation by installing older versions and I had to go back to 1.8.1 to get some feedback regarding the transfer rate.

I know that 1.8.99 is built against 1.9.0 so will I have problems running it against my repository? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi:

I upgraded to the newest version of TSVN 1.8.6. While I was checking out the code from one repository, it was working fine until the progress window went on Transferring 0 Bytes/s. I waited for long time and there is not activity until an error appears as follow "Connection Timeout"

Question is there is something about Network timeout?

Hi again:

I was performing the the scenario but measure the packets with Wireshark, what I was looking when the file transfer is at 0 Bytes/s, I was looking at wireshark that there are a lot of ZeroWindows packets until the error appears

"Connection timed out"

The difference with my issue is that even though the transfer rate is showing 0 Bytes/s the update is still happening and completes.

I did some further testing and noticed that while connecting to the repository while on the local network 1.8.6 and earlier show "Transferring at XXX/s" while 1.8.99.25412 shows the full information " XXX Transferred, Transferring at XXX/s"

If anyone can at least confirm if there would be any possible issues with running 1.8.99 Tortoise SVN on a 1.8 SVN server I would switch the few users that require feedback to this nightly version.
