This suggestion for improvement

* regards editing svn properties (externals) in 'advanced' mode
* and has two subitems:

1. The svn property edit button has two divisions: "Default" and "Advanced". I always use advanced mode editing externals but 'default' is default and I have to open the drop down menu on the button each time. It would be very helpful for me (and others) if my last decision would be stored.

2. Editing the first property it is not possible in advanced mode. So if I want to add externals (for example from a given list), I have to create a dummy property in default mode and go back to replace this dummy in advanced mode by my list.

Both items are very annoying since I work a lot with external properties.

Thanks a lot for your attention
Bernhard

I don't think that's a good idea. Often users will try "advanced" even if they don't know what that means. And then just automatically changing the default is dangerous.

New->Other, then select "svn:externals" from the dropdown.

Would it be possible to assign keyboard Shortcuts to sub-buttons, too?

* Edit (given)
 ** Default (new)
 ** Advanced (new)

Advanced users are often those who prefer keyboard operation instead of using mouse/touchpad

Best regards

This procedure is not much less complicated and in my opinion too cumbersome and error-prone (get the correct item from the select box) for a frequently used feature.

Another possibility to give better access to the desired advanced mode would be a click modifier (for example alt) in the property list.
At the moment It does not matter whether I doubleclick or alt-doubleclick or shift-doubleclick an entry in the properties list. In each case the "default" editor will open.
I would be grateful if you consider this option.

Thanks a lot

 Good idea!
Done in r28445 - now you can hold down the shift key when double-clicking to open the 'advanced' dialog.

Good implementation :-)
Works as expected in today's nightly build with left and right shift key.

Thanks a lot
