Hi,
I am having a problem with the latest version of SVN where multiple Tortoise SVN Status Cache processes saturate my CPU. It happens mostly when I bring the laptop out of sleep mode. It took me almost 30 minutes (not exaggerating) to open my task manager and finally identify what's consuming my memory or contributing to CUP usage. Attached are the screenshots for reference showing the 100s of SVN Processes.

The only way to have my PC running smoothly is a Hard reset.

I have a brand new Lenovo T14 machine. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

the cache process has a lock implemented which prevents itself from starting again if it's already running.
Which means that those many processes are no longer running but are kept for some reason - that usually means a system handle can't be closed. And that means that something on your OS is really messed up.

this also is an indicator that you maybe should do a clean format and reinstall windows. And maybe also check your hardware for faults (harddrive and RAM).
