Show log does not include changes in externals

Hi,

When I run the Show log dialog on a top-level source dir which contains subdirs and also has externals attached to it, then the revision history includes changes made in the externals if a) Show only affected paths is unchecked, and b) changes in externals have been committed together with changes in local subdirs.

But if a commit included changes in externals only, and no changes in local dirs, then there is no entry in the revision history for this commit. This makes it difficult to get an overview on all changes in the source tree.

Maybe I'm missing something here...

Maybe I did not make this very clear but I consider this to be an issue. The change log is incomplete and misleading in this case.

Is there a better place for reporting issues?
