git format anyone ?

A project I'm working on requires me to issue the git --format  command (with various parameters of course) but it looks like my version of git doesn't support that command (git --version shows me git version 2.51.2.windows.1 here)

I know it's not technically a TortoiseGit issue but does anyone know if a different manufacturer's git would be likely to help?

Git here shows me Git for Windows v2.51.2 so it looks like I'm already on the latest version :-(

Apologies, I just got told that 2.53.0 is the latest version.
