TGitCache.exe not launching any more :-(

When I launched Windows this morning I noticed that my TortoiseGit
folder icons were suddenly missing. I opened Task Manager and realised
that the TGitCache process had failed to launch.

TGitCache.exe is still present on my system (in C:\Program
Files\TortoiseGit\bin) and I can launch it manually (and it then appears
in Task Manager). But the icons still don't appear. And if I end the
TGitCache process (in Task Manager) it normally relaunches itself - but
that's not happening either.

Can anyone suggest what might have gone wrong ?

I tried uninstalling TortoiseGit and re-installing but it didn't fix the
problem :-(

FWIW git itself appears to be working - it's just that TGitCache won't
auto-launch any more and (even if I launch it manually) I don't see the
usual folder icons any more. Could it be a problem with MsysGit maybe ??

After some further experimenting this morning, I think I've now solved this problem...  I came across this FAQ:-

https://tortoisegit.org/support/faq/#ovlnotshowing

Following its advice, I opened RegEdit and navigated to:- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers

I soon realised that Dropbox has cottoned onto the fact that by prefacing its own entries with whitespace it can take precedence over the others!  I removed the leading spaces from my Dropbox entries and re-booted.  Presto!  I now see the TortoiseGit icons again.
