Hi,
we fully rely on Windows Installer. As TortoiseGit is an explorer
extension, it is loaded by explorer.exe. Therefore, it need to be closed
and restarted.
Maybe select not to restart any apps/services in the installer, then
Windows Installer asks you to reboot at the end.
