Sorry, I haven't found out how to edit a post yet but in another thread I posted that I'd just installed the latest TortoiseGit for Windows (64-bit) after previously uninstalling a much older version. And in the other thread I stated that some of my repos were working okay - but I've just realised they're not :-(
Whenever I try to pull (or fetch) from their repos I see the attached error message.
But I've checked the appropriate folder path and it does exist and TortoiseGitPlink.exe is definitely there (size 886,688 bytes and dated 31st Oct 2025). Any ideas anyone?

A quick question regarding the text G:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin\TortoiseGitPlinkexe in the above screenshot...
Should I be seeing a colon at the end??

I found another thread here which suggests that to fix this, it's necessary to set Msys2 git and TortoiseGit so that their git configs can co-operate with each other. Can someone please explain how to do that?

I also found this Youtube video which explains the stuff about generating and managing the SSH keys. It's intended for MacOS though it helped me to generate the keys okay - BUT - about 75% into the video, he explains how to manage the keys (i.e. add them somewhere and verify them etc).
I can't find that dialog box in Windows. So if some kind soul can point me in the right direction, hopefully that'll get me a bit further.
Also - is it necessary to have all this SSH stuff for Tortoisegit ver 18? I don't remember needing to do all this with my older version.

Hi,
for some reason on your device TortoiseGit is configured to use
"G:\Program Files\bin\TortoiseGitPlink.exe". It seems that his path is
not correct any more.
You can configure the path to TortoiseGitPlink in TortoiseGit settings
-> Network. TortoiseGitPlink resides in the bin folder of TortoiseGit.
