Is it possible to compare a local branch to a remote branch? For example, I'd like to compare the local "master" to the remote "master", to know what I'm about to merge from the remote. Is it possible?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to ask this, but I don't find any answer..

Thanks in advance!

Just fetch the remote and then compare locally...  The remote master will have the ref origin/master (or something similar depending on what you your remote is named).  Then you can compare your local master to the remote all locally.

Thanks Jacob, I just found how to compare the fetched branch and the local one using the "Browse References" interface!

It works great.
