Diff shows entire file changed

When I select TortoiseGit->Diff from the context menu on a file which has not been changed since the last commit, the compare shows the old file (from the repo) as empty, and the new file as all added lines. If the file has been changed at all, Diff shows the correct old file. Similarly, Diff with previous version works as expected. From the command line "git diff" works as expected, showing nothing for an unchanged file.

TGit ver 1.7.4.0, 64 bit
WIn7-64

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong, or have I borked my repo (don't think so, this happens on all my repos).

This is issue 941 which is fixed in version 1.7.5.0.
