diffprep crash

Hi, I am new to TORTOISE. I am trying to run diffprep on a mapmri type acquisition. Below is the command I use to run it (debian linux). It runs for a while and then crashes,  producing only a few new files. I turn on "keep intermediate files, but it only creates *_proc.bmtxt, *_proc.list and *_proc.nii

DIFFPREP --dwi MAPdata_490.nii.gz --bvecs bvecs_490.txt --bvals bvals_490.txt --phase vertical --step 0 --gibbs_ringing_correction on --epi off --will_be_drbuddied 1 --denoising for_final --upsampling off --high_b 1 --dti_bval 2000 --MAPMRI_bval 6000 --keep_intermediate 1 --do_QC --mask_image brain_mask.nii.gz


I have the latest version (3.1.2) and it ran fine on an earlier data with kurtosis type acquisition with 90 dwi volumes and b values up to 2500. This data goes up to b=6000 over 6 shells and total of 490 directions.

After several hours of run, I see many dashed lines and then this:
