Looking for good legal support

Hi all,

I've been working all along by using lawyers who are friends and
family. Despitetheir protests to the contrary, the burden on them is
probably unfair by now, so my company is going to try and find a
lawyer who specializes in many of the kinds of things we typically
need to deal with, like:
1. Contracts
2. Intellectual property protection
3. Shareholder's agreements

I've spoken to some big guns at the top Toronto firms, but I suspect
that for a small firm like ours, they are overkill, as are their
hourly rates ($600 / hr + )

Does anyone have a good experience with a well qualified, independent
lawyer or small firms in the GTA?
Could they recommend?
